Storied Spaces

Storied Spaces is a group of six collages made from twelve images, out of hundreds, found on the internet that touch on themes of intelligence, technology, image, mobility, time and nature. The work relies on the medium of collage and assemblage as an ontological framework. The images are scenarios built on a flat space that value incompleteness as a form of inclusivity. Each scene is a portal on issues such as: non-human life, displacement, synthetic nature, and radio fields. The project builds on ideas examined in my video project 71:17, loosely modeled after director Jørgen Leth’s 1967 anthropologic short film, The Perfect Human.
